All it takes is 10 mindful minutes When was the last time you took 10 minutes to do nothing?

We live in an incredibly busy world,
we’re always doing something, or thinking about doing something, there’s never any time to simply do nothing. Now that’s no texting, no eating, no reading, not even thinking about the past of future, just do nothing.

The mind is our most valuable resource, we rely on it to be emotionally stable, to perform well in telling our body how to feel. This is the same mind we depend upon to be focused and creative, to bring our imaginations out in to the world.

and yet we don’t take the time to take care of it.

A recent study out of Harvard suggests that our minds our lost in thought more than 47% of the time.This is the cause of our anxiety and unhappiness, we are not here we are somewhere else when distracted by these thoughts.

Now many people assume that meditation is all about stopping your thoughts, getting rid of emotions, and somehow controlling the mind.

But actually its quite different from that.

It’s more about stepping back, seeing the thought clearly, witnessing it coming and going, emotions coming and going without judgement, but with a relaxed focused mind.
