Sir Ken Robinson is an English author, speaker, and international advisor on education in the arts to government, non-profits, education, and arts bodies. his picture of what education should be, is a far departure from the current educational systems that are put in place today. Sir Ken says we need to Bring on the Learning Revolution!
“Every educational system in the world is being reformed at the moment, and it’s not enough. Reform is no use anymore because that is simply improving a broken model. What we need is not evolution, but a revolution in education. This has to be transformed into something else.”
The dogmas of the quiet past, are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise — with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew, and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country. - ABRAHAM LINCOLN
What a beautiful talk.
how great would the world be like if we educated ourselves and our children in this way instead of the “institutions” we have built so much faith in? we could only imagine… or can we?
no we can not go back and change what has already been done, but we could make things better for future generations, we NEED to make better for future generation.
